Body weight support treadmill and clinical practice. An Introductory Workshop.
This 3 hour workshop will discuss the neurophysiology supporting the use of Body-Weight Support Treadmill Training (BWST), and the limitations of the current rehabilitation sciences literature with respect to the integration of BWST into clinical practice. The critical role of postural control with respect to locomotion will be introduced, and discussed, with respect to the potential benefits and limitations of BWST. There will be opportunity for discussion on equipment considerations.
